1. Look for the following to determine if your dog is in shock: pale gums, prolonged capillary refill time, depressed mental state or unconsciousness, weak pulses, fast pulse rate/fast heart rate.
2. Check your dog's ABCs, and perform CPR if needed.
3. Control any external bleeding.
4. Keep the dog warm with a thermal blanket.
5. Take your dog to a veterinary hospital immediately.
